Peoria Heights Chamber of Commerce

scope of work
Branding + Website
ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Peoria Heights Chamber of Commerce was going through a time of transformation. With new events on the way and ambitious goals for the future, the website needed a facelift and that actually had a flow. The website they brought to me didn't have a home page, no clear membership benefits, and a hob nob of other information floating on disconnected pages, among other issues.

We knew that this site had to encompass not just the Chamber, but the heart and soul of the Heights through the events, the businesses, and the people that make it special.

The Setup

The Chamber had a solid logo and a consistent brand, but it felt a little dated and stiff compared to the Chamber itself. We knew we wanted to go for a look that felt natural to the Peoria Heights community and that would fit in well with other efforts. A Chamber green and a cream color were added to the Chamber's color palette of red, black, gray, and whit to add warmth.

The primary fonts that were selected reflect the trustworthiness of the Chamber and play off the fun that everyone has when attending Chamber events. We pulled a mix of photos together that showcased key Chamber moments, like ribbon cuttings, Chamber members, and all that the Heights has to offer.

Branding the Events

Using Webflow's unique features, we were able to develop individually branded pages that build off the Chamber brand for each Signature Event. Each page uses their own color palette and font scheme relative to the event branding to convey specific feelings and cater to each event's target audience while still feeling true to the Chamber.

The Result

This website is setup for growth, ensuring that the Chamber is doing all that it can to promote its members and events. Because of the newly branded website, other print and digital collateral are getting updated to fit the strategic, creative direction of the website, including the Chamber newsletter, email signatures, social media graphics, and more.
