The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Bradley University was launching a new speaker series, Voices and Visionaries and needed a refreshed brand identity. Their current identity helped them get launched, but they were ready to take it to the next level. The identity needed to translate the importance of the series to their membership and to the community as a whole.
To ensure the identity fit in with the current OLLI and Bradley University branding and yet still stand on its own, I took a look at all of the current collateral created by OLLI and Bradley across all of their marketing channels.
The series "broadcasts" and features distinguished speakers. The microphone icon was inspired by the amplification of each speaker, literally and figuratively. Literally being the actual use of microphones during presentations to amplify their voices. Figuratively with the message they bring that gets passed on by each attendee.
OLLI now has a brand identity that can be used in a wide variety of print and digital collateral, from t-shirts to buttons to poster features to partnered ads. It's simplicity ensures a timeless energy that can last and build a legacy for the organization.
